Here we have a rather impressively sized 5" gauge 4-6-4 Baltic tank of generally freelance design. This engine has recently been the subject of a full strip down and a repaint into the condition that you see here. We didn't rebuild her, but we did choose the colour (she is our own scale colour version of the Ffestiniog railway's Vintage Red colour. We are calling it 'Ffestiniog Vintage Plum').
She is fitted with an injector, a twin ram axle pump with footplate mounted bypass valve as well as a hand pump fitted inside the rear of the bunker. Lubrication is mechanical and fitted under the front footplate. The recent overhaul has seen the fitting of several new clacks and fittings, so she can be given a fresh 4 year hydraulic certificate and steam test ready for you to hit the track and play.

As with most of our models, what you see isn't necessarily what you get!
We often photograph models pretty much as they come in to us, and then when someone phones to say they are interested we pull the model into our workshops and make sure everything is tested, sorted and ready to go. So if you see the odd model photograph with a fitting missing or a return crank in the wrong place, that's just how it came in and certainly not how it will leave.
